The Romantic period (1798-1832)/ Victorian poetry

The romantic period as a time were people specialy poet began projecting imtellectual thoughts on imagination and naturalness. with the production of "Lyrical Ballads, with a Few Other Poems " by author taylor Coleridge wich are now one of the most importtant poems in english literature amongs other projects, came into this era. unfortunally another way to date this period is when the french revolution took place in 1789. this was a turbulent revolution age on which england changed from a agricultural society to a industrial and grousome nation. This revolution extended all across westrn europe where political social and other terms made a radical change in the century. Other terrible events that took place was in particular the "september massacre" in which king Louis XVI was decapitated by the new invention of the this time, the guillotine. This did not just end here yet another event that had terrible effect was the rise of french army officer, Napoleon Bonaparte. This individual became ruthless as te executioned king himself. From 1769-1821 bonaparte became the emperor of france, making countless decisions and actions having huge effects on various nations.

The people in this era especially poets rejected the public, and witty works of the previous century. these people spoke experiences and emotions, often simple in a un adorned language. many turned to past or inner dream world like that they felt was more "magical" and confortable than the ugly and harsh industrial age they lived in. Poets were urged to approach a democratic attitude towards audiences, making them "a man speaking men", they also though of nature as transformative, they loved the way nature and human mind reflected one another revealing their creative properties. This era prized a strong sense of mysterious forces joyfully adapting to human and nature's ways.

Romantic poets in this period wanted to express feeling and ideas based on the poems they wrote. Various of these poets were not just trying to express human and nature ideas an connectivity of some sort, these poets endowed with more enthusiasm and tenderness, a much greater knowledge and comprehenssive soul. most of it was based on simple language to explore commonplace subjects, the beauty of nature and the power of imagination.
